The Peking University Institute of Global Health and Development Summer Institute is our brand activity that promotes academic exchange, training, and practice. Each Summer Institute is held jointly with an important domestic or overseas institution, focusing on a specific theme under the topic of "global health management," and conducts a series of academic activities aimed at achieving a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the

theme. Students successfully admitted to the summer institute not only have the opportunity to attend lectures by top scholars on the relevant theme, but also have the chance to experience the research and practice conducted by our institute. Some students will further have opportunities to become our institute's doctoral students and visiting scholars.

The theme of the 2023 summer institute was "Economics of Healthy Aging,” jointly organized by the Peking University GHD and the Yale University Center for Social and Policy Studies. The summer institute, held in Liangshan, Sichuan, attracted applications from 376 students from domestic and foreign universities. 20 students from famous universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Harvard University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill were successfully enrolled. The summer institute included more than ten lectures and two days of health poverty alleviation social practice, achieving a full integration of academic frontier and practical frontier.
