Since October 2023, the Institute for Global Health and Development of Peking University, in collaboration with scientists from dozens of top scientific research institutions at home and abroad, has taken the lead in building the world's first artificial intelligence large model for planetary health: the "Planetary Health Axis System (PHAS)" project. By integrating more than 48,000 key variables across the four major dimensions of Human Health, Species Health, Environment Health, and Societal Health, the PHAS project aims to dynamically track and evaluate the comprehensive processes of human development footprint, the evolution of other species, changes in the natural environment, and their relationships with the broad planetary boundaries.
The PHAS system developed by Peking University is scheduled to make its global debut at the "World Health Summit 2025" held in Berlin on October 12, 2025, from 16:00 to 17:30 (German time). It is committed to contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and supporting global governance, planetary health, and the sustainable development of humanity.
