ZHANG Guoxi

Co-Founder/CEO, Transvista Bio-Technology Co., Ltd ; Senior Practice Expert of the Development Cooperation Department at Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development

Guoxi (Aaron) Zhang is the Co-Founder and CEO of Transvista and a Senior Practice Expert in Development and Partnerships at the Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development. He holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, an MBA from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. His work and research focus on global health, health policy and management, and innovation and entrepreneurship in the health sector.

Dr. Zhang has broad cross-sector experience across multinational pharmaceutical companies, private equity and venture capital institutions, and early-stage life science enterprises. He began his career at Pfizer, Novartis, and Roche in roles spanning sales, marketing, and medical. He later worked in healthcare investment at WI Harper Group, Huagai Capital, Cathay Capital, and Green Pine Capital Partners, contributing to investments in a range of innovative health-related companies. His work has been recognized through honors including Fortune China’s 40 Under 40 Business Elites (2025), Healthcare Young Investor of the Year (2023), China’s 40 Under 40 Venture Capitalists (2022), and Influential Investor Under 40 (2021).

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Zhang is active in triathlon, mountaineering, and outdoor sports. He serves as a council member of the American Returned Scholars Association under the Western Returned Scholars Association, as well as the Peking University Alumni Outdoor Sports Association.
