Yang Lianping, PhD, is an Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Collaborating Mentor for Postdocs at the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University. His research focuses on One Health and the governance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), health technology assessment and pharmacoeconomics, climate change adaptation and health system resilience. Dr. Yang was a joint Ph.D. fellow at the University of California, Irvine under the China-U.S. Fulbright Program, a visiting scholar at the University of Washington through the China Medical Board Faculty Program, and also conducted research at La Trobe University in Australia. He was selected for the Yat-sen Scholar Program at Sun Yat-sen University and received the Young Scholar Award from the Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development. He serves as a committee member of the Health Services Management Branch and the Social Medicine Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, a member of the Health Economics Theory and Policy Committee of the Chinese Health Economics Association, and the Deputy Director of the Health Technology (Economic) Assessment Expert Committee of the Guangdong Health Economics Association. Dr. Yang has led three research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a sub-project under the National Key Research and Development Program of China, an Open Competition Grant from the China Medical Board (CMB), USA, and six additional provincial and ministerial-level projects, including a General Program Grant from the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. As the first or corresponding author, he has published more than 30 research articles, including Nature Medicine, Lancet Infectious Diseases, Lancet Regional Health Western Pacific, eClinicalMedicine, and Journal of Infection.
